After taking a Masters degree in Management, Clive Holtham trained as
an accountant and was Young Accountant of the Year in 1976. Following
six years as a Director of Finance and IT, he led a major research
project for the Institute of Directors, and authored Executive
Information Systems and Decision Support. His research study, Improving
the Performance of Workgroups through Information Technology, has been
widely quoted in the media. He was research director of the EPSRC and
DTI-funded BFS (Business Facilitation System) project, developing an
intensively computer-supported meeting environment for executives. He
has reviewed the strategic impact of both CD-ROM and networked
multimedia on business and been an Expert Advisor to the European
Parliament. He is actively involved in the Financial Services Knowledge
Laboratory, co-founder of the Worshipful Company of Information
Technologists, and member of the Black Forest Group. |
